More noted for forming UK's "JUDAS PRIEST", and fronting them for four years, laying down the foundations which would see them eventually selling 40 million albums worldwide.
Also, writing songs for them that went Gold the likes of "Dreamer Deciever", "Never Satisfied", "Winter" and Priests all time classic "Victim Of Changes".
He has countless World Wide Radio & TV interviews under his belt and even written a Book on his Musical life, titled "Dawn of the Metal gods" centred around growing up in Birmingham and the Black Country alongside Robert Plant and Black Sabbath.
He has released six solo albums to date and an album with off shoot band "Holy Rage".
Now teamed up with the Brilliant Christian Writer /Guitarist / producer PAUL MAY recording Five albums to date under the banner of ATKINS MAY PROJECT, the latest album titled "The Final Cut".

ATKINS MAY PROJECT - TIMELINE
ATKINS MAY PROJECT aka AMP were forged in the heart of the "BLACK COUNTRY" in the West Midlands, UK around 2010. AMP features AL ATKINS the Founder member and Original Vocalist with JUDAS PRIEST and PAUL MAY veteran Guitarist, Session Player, Writer & Producer.
Together they proudly fly the flag for the 'Old School' Classic British Rock & Metal a style that launched so many top bands from that genre and culture.
Allan Atkins and Paul May had previously worked together on and off for two decades or so on several albums before this collaboration.
Their first album as the ATKINS MAY PROJECT was to emerge in 2011 under the title of 'Serpents Kiss' which received excellent critical acclaim. So much so they decided to release their sophamore album just a year later in 2012, the album 'Valley of Shadows' which magazines and fans recieved with a wealth of praise. Their third album 'Empire of Destruction' was released in 2014 once again to an excellent favourable response.
2015 saw the record company, Gonzo at the time', decide to release 'Anthology' a collection of some of the epic songs from previous albums.
During the next couple of years the music and songs for their new album would be created. There were a few hold ups on the way but they now return with another Epic dose of Classic Rock & Metal in the form of 'The Final Cut' was released in April 2020! And it has been very successful.

Atendo por três nomes. Nasci sem saber como me chamava, mas logo minha madrinha de consagração sugeriu a minha mãe que desse a mim o mesmo nome delas duas: Cristina. Minha mãe incluiu um H virei Christina na certidão de nascimento, Christininha para os familiares e amigos de infância e Chris para os colegas de faculdade e do Jornalismo. Nasci em Niterói, RJ. Sou filha de um engenheiro, arquiteto e músico com uma pedagoga e paisagista. Tenho um irmão advogado e músico.
Quando tive a oportunidade de começar a escrever, em 1999, escolhi a música como tema. Além do Jornalismo na UniverCidade, fiz metade do curso profissionalizante de Teatro da Casa das Artes de Laranjeiras (CAL), tendo participado lá da montagem de O Jardim das Cerejeiras, do russo Anton Tchecov, e, fora de lá, de peças infantis com a Cia. Gene Insano. Terminei também a faculdade de Letras (Português-Italiano) na Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF).
Cresci com a música dentro de casa. Com o rock dos Beatles e da Jovem Guarda, o de Jimi Hendrix e do Led Zeppelin e com os sambas e boleros antigos de Ataulfo Alves, Ciro Monteiro e Nelson Gonçalves. Descobri o pop e a MPB sozinha. Tive algumas bandas ao longo da vida, entre elas ECT (Eu, Chris e Taís) e Press Play, esta só de jornalistas. Poucas, porque achava que meu negócio era mesmo pesquisar e escrever sobre música. Acabei me especializando nisso, trabalhando e/ou publicando matérias nos jornais O Globo e Extra (e em seus respectivos sites), em revistas como Rolling Stone, MTV e OutraCoisa e produzindo releases de músicos para gravadoras. Cobri diversos festivais (Ceará Music, Festival de Verão, Mada, Rock in Rio), escrevi muitos perfis de músicos, assinei uma coluna de discos no jornal Extra… Também coordenei uma equipe de Mídias Sociais na Artplan.
Em 2008, fundei o blog GarotaFM. Já fiz assessoria em comunicação para os músicos Hyldon, Gaby Amarantos, Bruno Batista, Leticia Persiles, Clara Valente e muuuuitos releases para diversas gravadoras ou artistas independentes: Zé Ramalho, Fiuk, Ivete Sangalo, Paula Fernandes, Diogo Nogueira, Ludmilla, Kelly Key etc.
Entre 2008 e 2009, realizei uma série de entrevistas para escrever uma discobiografia da Legião Urbana que saiu em 2010 encartada nos LPs e CDs reeditados pela EMI Music. Em 2014, fiz as pesquisas, as entrevistas e os roteiros dos episódios do Mulheres do Brasil, um programa sobre mulheres cantoras e compositoras brasileiras exibido pelo Canal Bis. Em 2015, trabalhei na pesquisa de conteúdo e nas entrevistas do livro Rock in Rio 30 Anos e fiz o conteúdo do Almanaque Rock in Rio, ainda não lançado pela editora 5W.
Fiz mestrado e doutorado em Letras, no programa Literatura, Cultura e Contemporaneidade da Puc-Rio.
Publiquei em 2016 o livro Discobiografia Legionária, em que conto histórias sobre as gravações dos discos da Legião Urbana. Estou prestes a terminar uma biografia do cantor e compositor Zé Ramalho.
Em 2017, estreei como cantora e compositora no álbum autoral Mundo Ficção, que gravei com o músico e produtor argentino Juan Cardoni, e passei a mediar o Fórum de Ideias do MIMO Festival. No mesmo ano, escrevi para a editora Organograma o conteúdo do livro La Mole: O importante é acreditar!, sobre a rede de restaurantes fluminense.
Em 2018, escrevi e lancei no Brasil e nos Estados Unidos o livro bilíngue (Português / Inglês) Discobiografia Mutante: Álbuns Que Revolucionaram a Música Brasileira. Com ele, criei a editora Garota FM Books e ganhei o Prêmio Profissionais da Música 2019 (PPM) na categoria Livros Musicais.
Em 2019 também, retomei com Taís Salles nosso Eu, Chris e Taís, passei a fazer parte do grupo Women in Music Brasil e atuei como embaixadora do Women’s Music Event.

Paul is a repected & gifted Guitarist a veteran of the game if you will.
He is also a Writer & Producer of many musical tracks and albums earning critical acclaim through all spectrums and genres of music.
Particularly known in this genre of rock for his passionate, soulful guitar work and his explosive, exciting solo's.
As the owner of "Rock Solid Studios" based in the UK, England he has produced many an album.
Since having played and sessioned across the globe for many years and appearing on around fifty albums to date, Paul is featured in both the Secular and Christian arena's.
Working along side Al Atkins, Dave Holland, Roy wood, Janus, Larry Norman, Kate miner etc etc.
As well as being one half of the ATKINS MAY PROJECT, Paul is also the 'axeman' for A.N.D & Temple Dogs.

Founded in 2012 by Andy Hornef (drums) and Jens "J.C." Müller (guitar) started "EL Pistolero" with Christoph Gruenewaldt vocals/guitar and Markus Lutz on bass.
The El Pistoleros consist of 5 bullets and they come in peace.

Due to the Corona measures from March 2020 no live performances, so we could put the highest concentration on our album "Mexican Stand Off".
In autumn 2020 we will join the road for a Euro tour with Kory Clarke and his “Warrior Soul”.
