RAFAELE ANDRADE DEIXA AQUELE ABRAÇO PRA VOCÊS...

Rafaele Maria Andrade is composer and cellist borned in Curitiba, Brazil.

She studies Composition/Theory at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, in Leipzig and gratuated at Escola de Música e Belas Artes 2011-2016 in "Composition and Conduction”, in Curitiba. During her first bachelor, she was also cellist and conductor’s assistent at the University’s philarmonic Orchestra (2012-2014). In 2018, she did a exchange of one semester on the cello’s Department at the UFRN, Natal, Brazil.

She interests in conceptual art, new musical approaches, involving eletronical music and interaction. Her pieces involved a deeply research on new techniques for bowed strings and a deeply connection with politic and society themes, relating music as an a interdisciplinary study and regarding cognitives aspects, ressignification and morfological references.

Since 2012 she participate of composition’s festivals in distinctly countries as Brazil (Amazon, Sao Paulo, Curitiba, Florianópolis, Natal, Minas Gerais), Canada (Montreal), Colombia, Germany (Darmstadt, Leipzig, Doanuenschingen), Paraguai (Assuncion), Austria (Wien), Argentina (Choele Choel), Ucrain (Kiev) and Switzerland (Luzern).

Her Works was already apreciated and counseling by composers of distinctly aesthetics, such as Claus-Steffen Mahnkopf, Rebecca Saudners, Mark André, Wolfgang Rihm, Felipe Ribeiro and Mauricio Dottori.

Currently she’s member of a composers collective (Círculo de invenção Musical (CIM), responsible for the Project “Weaving Music for Radio, by latin American composers, sponsored by the Unesco Program: “International fund for Promotion of Culture”, composer of the a female composers student project on her University in collaboration with Michiko Saiki and active performer from the Leipzig laptop Ensemble. Over the years she participated of social movements as well scout, veganism, raw-veganism, yoga, Zero Waste lifestyle, Bike activism, feminism and Social Achievement in Brazil.

COLLECTIVE FINANCING

"Interposing codes in sensors and sheet music" is a project that will be developed for three years at the University of The Hague in the Netherlands. It is aimed at the artistic and academic production and development, which aims at improving the acoustic interaction, Interfaces and real time exploration of sounds and their processing. The project aims to develop this area of electronic and acoustic music in Brazil, providing research and artistic work to awaken the sensibility and its listeners.
