BETH OGDEN DEIXA AQUELE ABRAÇO PRA VOCÊS...

Beth Ogden is much like the classic spirit – bold, with a little kick. Originally from New England and east coast Canada, she is a triple threat: a vocalist, a songwriter, and a multi-instrumentalist.

“My mom always said that good things come in small packages. Well, she must have really loved me, ‘cause I ended up the smallest out of all four kids... so naturally, I am a little too feisty for my own good.”

Unlike most young artists who have had the opportunity to be influenced by musical legends, Beth’s childhood led a slightly different path. “We weren’t allowed to listen to anything but classical music and hymns growing up…", she says, "but it’s actually kind of cool, because I get to experience some of what the world calls ‘old music’ in a new way and for the first time - as an artist.”

Singing old a capella hymns in full harmonies as a child became the basis for her love of blending voices and melody. Even at a young age, Beth developed a keen sense for the demands of big dreams. By the time she was 15, she was working and saved up $1,200 to buy her first instrument – a piano. And even before the guys could lift it off the pickup truck, she was sitting in the bed of the truck playing the latest chords she had heard.

Her love of music continued to grow with the fiddle. “My sister was learning classical violin and I would steal her violin, sneak down into the basement while my family was sleeping, and practice. She might still hold it against me!” That tenacity paid off and Beth went onto represent her province of New Brunswick at a national level in the Canadian Grand Masters Fiddling Competition.

The next instrument she would pick up, however, would change her career and life path forever.

“I bought my first guitar for $80 at a pawn shop and started writing songs. Through that, I found my purpose in music. Long story short, it led me to Nashville. I have had the amazing honor of being mentored by hit songwriter, T.W. Hale (hits for Reba McEntire and Joe Diffie). He embraced my ‘outside-the-box’ approach to songwriting and taught me how to focus it.”

Beth has opened for artists including Joe Diffie and Old Dominion while touring with powerful female artists Stacia Watkins and Brynn Marie - playing fiddle, writing for their albums, and singing backup vocals behind them.

“After becoming one of Clair Global's new upcoming artists, life has been crazy good”, she says. “It still blows my mind that Clair, a company who works with acts as big as Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Elton John and Luke Bryan, can still take the time to encourage and mentor young artists like myself! It’s humbling, yet makes me want to work that much harder!”

Beth has been intensely training with celebrity vocal coach James Lugo and can’t wait to share her brand new instrument – her voice - with anticipating fans and peers alike!
